OVER & ABOVE

Over & Above documents construction properly.

Specialist content for the developers, contractors and investors building London.

A specialist company, not a generalist that does property.

Over & Above is a construction content company. We do two things. We produce quarterly buyer update films for residential developers. We run programmed monthly aerial monitoring for contractors and construction directors. Both are retained programmes. Both run for the duration of the build.

We are not a video company that does property work occasionally. We are not a drone operator that has added video as a service. We were built around the operational reality of London construction. CAA Operational Authorisation. Restricted-airspace clearance. CHAS-equivalent SSIP. RAMS for every visit. Insurance to the levels Tier 1 contractors actually require. The production discipline of a ten-year creative company.

Over & Above is the construction-content division of Blood Orange Film. Same crew. Same kit. Same colourist. Same standards.

Sam Hendrick, founder.

Sam founded Blood Orange Film in 2016 and has produced for NatWest, Bentley, Adidas, the BBC, and a range of property and construction clients across London. Over & Above grew out of the realisation that the construction sector needed a content company that understood site discipline, airspace, and the long-form retained model, not a video agency taking the occasional drone shot.

Sam personally oversees every Over & Above engagement. The producer who briefs you is the producer who shows up on site, the producer who sits in the edit, and the producer who is on the phone if anything changes.

Sam holds the CAA GVC. He is the first point of contact on every retained programme.

Where we came from.

Blood Orange Film is the parent company. Ten years of production for clients including NatWest, Bentley, Adidas and the BBC. The crew, the camera kit, the post-production pipeline and the colourist that produce a national TV ad are the same ones that produce a Ballymore quarterly update.

The reason for spinning Over & Above out as a specialist company was simple. Construction clients have specific needs that consumer brand work does not impose. Insurance levels. RAMS. SSIP accreditation. Restricted-airspace permissions. A retained model that runs for two years rather than one shoot. A polished output is a baseline, not the finished product. The work is operational as well as creative.

Over & Above is a specialist company in its own right. The Blood Orange relationship is the credibility behind it.

How we work.

  • Retained, not transactional.

We work on programmes that run for the duration of a build. One-off shoots are rarely the right answer.

  • The producer is on site.

No accounts handler, no second-tier crew. The person you spoke to in the brief is the person on the ground.

  • Operational rigour first.

Insurance, RAMS, SSIP and CAA clearance are not optional extras. They are the baseline. The creative work sits on top.

  • Frame.io review, not email chains.

You watch the cut in 4K, drop a comment on the frame, and we action it. No spreadsheets.

  • Output meets broadcast standards.

Even when the audience is a single boardroom.
